Cherry
Overview
Cherry (dir. Liliana Cantillo) is a short film about a young woman and her father having a conversation over some ice cream. The film combines 2D backgrounds with 3D animated assets. I completed the layout design and background paint for the film, resulting in a total of 32 backgrounds from four layouts.

Conclusion
The colors are intertwined with the active emotions of the young woman, coming from a tense heavy yellow and settling into a calmer purple. Due to the short turnaround time, I also used this step to experiment with styles.
